    Hi Elaine,
    Since I prefer not to take medicines, I'll just use more natural salt & maybe more seafood; What is your opinion?

    Hi Rita,

    It sounds like a good plan and you might want to make sure you're not eating too many goitrogens, foods with anti-thyroid properties that lower thyroid hormone levels. These include soy, squash, kohlrabi, almonds, peanuts, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, peaches, plums, grapes, etc. Raw foods containing goitrogens are more potent than cooked ones. Best, Elaine
