Hi Elaine hope you are well .
Just asking for your help again,. As you know, I am still on 50 thyroxine per day and have been for a longtime. My last blood function was a slightly normal higher TSH than the previous tests which is giving me fatigue and tiredness. My T4 is normal.
    TSH 1.72 ( normal range 0.35-5.50) and free T4 level 16 ( normal range 10.5-21).
Should I increase the thyroxine dose? I may feel less tired.
    Many thanks
    Cinzia

    Hi Cinzia,
Are they also checkin your FT3 level? I wonder if it's low. Your FT4 is ok but could be higher so you might want to ask your doctor about moving you up to 62.5 mg levothyroxine or adding T3 if your FT3 is low. It's not unusual to need a dose increase after you've been on replacement hormone for a while. Best, Elaine
