    Hi Elaine,

I hope you're doing well. I'm currently navigating my remission journey for Graves' disease and would greatly appreciate your guidance. I've made several lifestyle changes, including taking supplements that have helped reduce my symptoms, removing mercury fillings, and establishing a disciplined routine for eating and sleeping. However, I still struggle with histamine intolerance, Candida albicans, and adrenal fatigue, and I'm concerned about the possibility of other environmental toxins or infections.

Whenever I encounter unavoidable stress at home or work, or if my sleep schedule is disrupted, I experience a flare-up where my eyes protrude, and the supplements I'm taking, such as vitamin complexes, vitamin D, vitamin C, curcumin, and probiotics, seem to lose their effectiveness, forcing me to start over.

From your website and other resources, I've learned that the key to remission lies in correcting the immune system. Could you please guide me on the most effective immuno-modulators for Graves' disease? I would also appreciate any recommendations for herbs that could support this process, particularly those that are available in India.

Thank you so much for your time and assistance.

    Hi Pavan,
For histamine intolerance I take diamine oxidase as needed, which I buy on Amazon. It does help. You might want to add 100 mg CoQ10 to supplements to help your eyes and immune system.
Immunomodulators are best used 3-4 weeks and then stopped for a few weeks and resumed. Good ones for Graves' disease include German chamomile, plant sterols and sterolins, reishi mushroom extract and flower pollen extract. Ashwaganda can be used in low doses for 1-2 weeks at a time. A low dose of kelp like 100 mg or less may help. I've recently started drinking Matcha for its immune system benefits. Mushrooms are also helpful and you can find a mushroom extract that contains several different types like lion's mane.
Some people do best avoiding grains although grains are more problematic in the U.S. because of pesticides. But allergens to specific grains and products containing soy can also be problematice.
sometimes a rotation diet where you avoid certain foods like soy or eggs are done to see if these ingredients are causing problems. Here, you avoid one ingredient at a time for 6 weeks. A strong immune system is important so you're on the right track here.
    Best, Elaine
