A recent journal article on low TSH levels and bone density, directed at people on high doses of thyroid replacement hormone, is being misinterpreted by some physicians.
In a recent article on AHSTA, Valerie investigates the problem and explains what the findings really mean. Unfortunately, for people on ATDs, whose guidelines state that drug monitoring is dependent on FT4 levels regardless of TSH levels, some patients are being kept hypothyroid in an effort to see TSH rise.

You're welcome. The real thank you should go to Valerie for her article so I'll pass this on.
