Selenium etc?

Hello,

I have seen selenium in several different forms in suppliments

selenium yeast and selenomethionine
Also, I have read that one should take vit E with selenium so it is absorbed and have seen suppliments with vit E and selenium.

WHich tpe of selenium do you recommend?

Thanks,

Daisy

Re: Selenium etc?

Hi Daisy,

Life Extension contains a form of selenium containing all 3 forms of this mineral that are needed by the body. I buy my selenium from them at www.lef.org and take a 200 mcg supplement, which is the recommended amount.  Vitamin E is absorbed with selenium and it's important to take both of these substances together.  Low selenium levels are a trigger for autoimmune thyroid disease. Best, Elaine
