    Here are my latest test results:
    T3 264 (80.0-200.0)
    Free T3 7.2 (2.4-4.8)
    Free T4 2.13 (0.93-1.70)
    TSH 0.005 (0.270-4.200)
    Anti-thyroid Peroxidase Abs 600 (0-34)
    Thyrotropin Receptor Abs 38.38 (0.00-1.75)
    Anti TTG IgA Antibodies 0.4 (0.0-10.0)
    Lipase Level 20 (22.0-51.0)
    AST 56 (15-41)
    ALT 137 (13-54)
    Alkaline Phosphate 154 (39-117)
    I am no longer taking the methimazole. I am only taking propranolol.

    Hi,
    the general rule is to not stop the MMI unless AST and ALT are 3-5 times higher than the high end of the reference range. And with your MMI dose being too high, these levels would likely fall if you were on a more reasonable dose. Propranolol helps reduce symptoms and slightly inhibits the conversion of T4 into T3, but a low dose of MMI, 5-10 mg, would be helpful to keep your levels from rising higher. Used properly, methimazole is a good drug to help you attain remission. It helps reduce thyroid hormone levels and helps your immune system heal, reducing thyroid antibodies. Best, elaine
